Spatial Data Transfer Standard (SDTS)

Spatial Data Transfer Standard is an open standard used to exchange spatial data between different computer systems.  The USGS provides their map data sets using various SDTS profiles.

Digital Data Services, Inc.  provides data conversion assistance for translating SDTS data into formats compatible for your project.
